Church on Mission Workshop | January 24-26, 2022

At our Church on Mission Workshop, we want to give you tools to help your church engage with your community. When we plant churches among the unreached, it’s important for us to understand the people we are working with. Just as we need to expound scripture, we need to expound people as well. 

Specifically, we would like to share a demographic tool with you, and walk you through the missional implications of its findings. Demographic data can sound like a sterile term, but it is an MRI of the very inside of what makes your city tick. This will give you some tools not just to have information about your community, but to learn the worldview that is present in order to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

Too much community outreach is led and directed by pastors. This often means that the passions of the pastors become the events that the church is engaging in, and this often burns out the pastors and leaves a lot of people on the sidelines. Our desire is to share with you a paradigm and a set of tools targeting your zip code directly that will help your church engage in the community and make disciples within your city. When you get the right information about the heart of your town and align that with the heart of your church - then the bushel comes off the light and the church becomes salty.
