Headed for Haiti
On February 7, To Every Tribe missionaris Alex Sisson, Mark Faulkner and Scott Ronyak and David and Tommi Sitton's youngest son, Jimmy Sitton will head to Haiti for seven days.
Alex, Mark, Scott and Jimmy will fly to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. They will meet up with a Pastor from Haiti, rent vehicles, purchase supplies and drive to Haiti. The four men from To Every Tribe will work in Haiti along with a group of thirteen people from Alabama, Mississippi and Indiana. Of this group one man is a doctor, and two are EMTs.
The organization Kids Against Hunger has also donated 50,000 highly nutritious, vitamin-fortified-soy-rice casserole meals. Alex Sisson has been working with Kids Against Hunger and a shipping company to ensure the transportation of the meals and their timely arrival, Lord willing to Haiti.
Another organization called Faith Comes by Hearing has donated Five “Proclaimers” (solar powered audio Bibles in Haitian Creole) that will be used to spread the Word of God.
The team will camp in tents around a local church in a suburb of the capital city, Port-au-Prince. They will show the love of Christ through medical help and food distribution but also plan to use every opportunity they can to reach the people with the gospel of Christ.
The team appreciates your prayers as they pray, plan and prepare for this strategic ministry in Haiti. Here are some specific ways you can pray:
