Missionary Training
To Every Tribe’s Center for Pioneer Church Planting (CPCP) is a missionary training program that combines intensive in-class preparation and study in Los Fresnos, Texas with ‘hands-on’ training in church planting locations in Papua New Guinea and Mexico. We believe the most effective way to learn how to plant churches is by doing it with experienced church planters. We do not minimize the importance of classroom learning, but we do believe on-field mentoring coupled with the classroom is what makes our training unique.

Pioneer Church Planting Focused
The CPCP does not replace a college or seminary degree nor is a college degree required for entrance into the program. The training offered is designed specifically for those interested in pioneer church planting among unreached people groups. Some may sense the Lord’s leading but are not completely certain of where He may be leading. The training the CPCP offers may be one of the tools God uses to provide instruction and direction. Because we believe in the centrality of the local church in sending missionaries, we strongly encourage those interested in this training to seek the godly counsel of trusted pastors and church leaders in the decision making process.

On-the-Job Training
We believe the principles of church planting that will be taught are universal and cut across cultures, target groups, and religious backgrounds. Classroom training will concentrate on a broad range of topics. Theology and cross-cultural issues will obviously be a primary focus, but we will also have very practical studies including missionary health and first aid studies. Times of worship and prayer will also be built into the schedule. The goal of this training program is to prepare pioneer church planters for the task of finishing the Great Commission.

“David Sitton and his ministry team at To Every Tribe is helping to meet a great need in the world today: preparing missionaries with a vision to reach the unreached peoples of the world. The Center for Pioneer Church Planting attracts sincere, committed, and passionate missionary candidates.

The CPCP provides them with solid training from some of the best evangelical teachers. In addition to their classroom training, these students take short-term trips to Mexico and New Guinea to apply what they are learning. My experience with To Every Tribe and the CPCP has encouraged me to pray for them and recommend them. May God bless David and his team as they seek to expand and reach the world for Jesus’ sake.”
